Brian, Also wondered if you have any "Nay" or "Sprout" or "Stier". Thanks for checking. Sandy
Brian, Thank you for your help. I appreciate the info you sent. What book did you get this info from? Sandy
Enoch did not have a son named Thornton . If you go to genforum there is a message dated February 03, 2000 by Mike Ferrell a cousin http://genforum.genealogy.com/ go to ferrell and type in the box search fourm type in the name it will bring up correspondence it is under Uriah Ferrell...parents? Mike Ferrell 2/03/00 I think the message is your Thornton Ferrell. Mike Radcliff
Mike, I think we have corresponded before on one of the message boards. I feel my ggfather, Thornton Ferrell, has to be related to all the Ferrells in M. and Calhoun Counties, but I surely can't prove it. Enoch is a possible for his father since he was in the area about the time Thornton was born in 1818.
Betty - Thank you so much for the info. I couldn't find it on my map, went and bought another map, and you are right, it looks like it is right on the border line. Without your help I would still be looking. Kathryn
Dear Brian, Would you be able to let me know if there are any Huggins family in the book, speciffically on a Jonathan, James, Azel Huggins? I would greatly appreciate anything you could send me. Thank you in advance. Bonnie
Brian Core, Anything on Wooden or McIntire? Thanks, Arlene
Hi Elmolene, This is great to find a match. I didn't have the brother, Peter, but Barney had a son named Peter, so he must have named him for his brother (whic they did a lot-jut to confuse us I think). I do have another name for the parents though but the info was gotten from the Don Norman records and he says that he has several errors in his files, but it does give us a good starting point. One of the current generation researchers is very good and I don't know what she has, but I would love to exchange any info Bill, my husband, and I are going to Ireland in May and I hope to do some research there. Do you know if this is the country the Kerns are from and if so, what part of Ireland? Kathryn, Checking the map, I found that Volcano, WV is in Wood County but close to the Ritchie county line on Rt. 31. Looks as though it is about 16 miles East of Parkersburg off Rt. 50. Hope this helps, Betty Betty Evans Riley Box 540, Davis, WV Researching: EVANS: Wales>Pa.>Va>(W)V (Monongalia>Tyler Counties) DENBOW Md>Ohio; ROGERS-Oh; GRAHAM: Pa. What county in Virginia is City Point in? I know that they lived in Henrico County (Richmond). Does the Society of Descendents of Frances Eppes have a website? If, so what is it. I am interested in joining.
Brian, If you have time, would you please see if there is any mention of my g.grandfather, Alamander Grant Watkins b. 1818 in Monongalia, Va and d. 1864 at Cedar Creek, Va in Civil War. I appreciate all that you are doing. Betty
Brian, It has been so nice of you to help so many people with looks up. I noticed there was a Ross listed in the index and I was wondering what line it was. If you have time could you see if there is a Henry Ross b. Jan1, 1788 married to Catherine Morgan Burris b. April 23, 1786. Their children are James (b. 1808), Elijah (b.1810), Charles (b. 1813), Andrew (b. 1815), Matilda (b. 1818), John (b. 1820), Henry Milton (b. 1823), Stephen M. (b. 1826) and Zedekiah (b. 1829) If anyone has any of this line I would be glad to share with them. Thank you. Connie
Sally, Have you tried in Virginia? Around City Point? The Society of Descendants of Francis Eppes put out a book on the Eppes line,"The Ancestors and Descendants of Francis Eppes", which I have a copy of. I can do a lookup for you if you want, just let me know what to look for. Michael Shannon [email protected]
Brian: I know you have been overwhelmed. Hope you can look for one more. ^..^ DAVID, George, Jacob or John HOFFMAN James and/or Jacob WORK Thank you so much. Harriet HOFFMAN Toothman
Are there any Randolphs, Ishams, Eppes, etc. on the list?
Emolene, I would be very interested in the new information regarding Henry Webber/Weaver!' Thanks so much for sharing, Cathy nanny wrote: > > For those who are working on the Henry Webber/Weaver. > New info has been found. > Emolene Lynch
Brian, Thank you very much for checking Peter Johnston for me. I really appreciate it. Sally Havens
Brian, If time permits, please check the name WEAR/WEIR/WARE. Thanks Charlotte
Brian: There's no hurry on these lookups....anytime...a month or so or more, even. If I could have page number and Volume number, it would be an enormous help. I'm interested in Jesse LEWELLEN, wife Nancy (or Ann); Jesse born ca 1796, perhaps died 1871. Is there any more info on pages besides just statistics? (Would really like to know the name of his parents!) Enoch MOORE, first wife, Mary STAFFORD; second wife, Catherine LEWELLEN JOBES (a widow). Enoch was born 1821, died 1892. Enoch was the son of: Thomas MOORE, born 1784, wife Elizabeth BROUGHMYRE. (Brian, BROUGHMYRE is a strange surname, yet it's spelled this way in all our family records; I've never found it in a census or any other records. I guess it might have been BROUGHMIRE.) Brian, thank you, on behalf of myself and all others on the list for your generous assistance. Pat Pulasky
