Nancy Thank you very much for the wonderful look up. I really appreciate it more then you know. Keep up the good work Vaughn
Dear Joy, Books about deed records are fine, but do not replace the real deed with signatures, etc. They can help locate what ones you want, but NOTHING replaces the actual deed. I had one out today to help a cousin prove a relationship and I had not had it out in 10 years. Not all persons mentioned in deeds are in the books and until you get the real deeds and read them very very carefully, in many cases you can not tell relationships or even if there is any. Jean

I want to pass this by website just to see if maybe, names will be familiar to someone out there...Have been searching for my Smith family for some time now...(6 yrs)... Trying to find the siblings and parents of my William Smith born 1826 Greene Co. Pa married Nancy Renner b. 1826 Greene Co. Pa..... Best clue to date, is a connection with an "Aaron Smith"age 40 (b. c1810) listed in household of a William Smith and wife Sarah, Greene twp, Greene Co. 1850 census.... "Aaron" shows up again (age 70) in the 1880 Greene Co. census in household of my William and Nancy in Greene Co...listed as "brother".... There are alot of William and Aaron Smith's out there...so the ages I have given are real important......as a means to search out mine..... If these names and dates tie in with anyone elses who have Smith descendants...please let me know.... Thank you. barbara hoehn

Jean, I happened to be inquiring about land records and read your comments. Since I am new at this research and have been having problems locating my G-grandfather who was born in 1808 in Harrison Co WVA. I traced him up to my generation but cannot find any thing on their parents. Anyway thank you for the information. Jeanne Silva

Joy, Could I please ask for a search of the book for any /all entries for the Clemens family? John Law married Hopy Clemens in Harrison County in Nov of 1800. I can not find the names of Hopy's parents. Perhaps the land records might help. A search of the book for land records of John Law might also help, especially if the name of his wife is included. My address is Jessie Heinzman 4405 Birdseye Way Elk Grove CA 95758 Thank you for your help. Jessie
