Halleck in on rt. 87 off Interstate 79 south of Morgantown in Monongalia County. The cemetery is right beside the road and there is a red brick church on the grounds. It is in Clinton District.

My G-Grandfather was born in Harrison Co. may have lived in Morgantown and he named his oldest son Granville and I believe his sister married a DeHart Booth. Patricia, I suppose I should not ask you again but noticed that your were answering a request for info on the Scotts and you asked which Scott...Alexander, etc. If you have any info on Alexander Scott I would be most appreciative of a report. The McIntire cemetery is across the river from US 19 in Enterprise on the back road to Shinnston. The Sillimon Martin cemetery is on the Wyatt Road, then there is a road close to Hill Top going from Wyatt toward Mannington that turns toward Odle Knob on the right. Then not to far up the road in a turn there is a old/old road that went to Bingamon Road, that isn't there anymore. There is a gate and a farm house. Please asked if you can go to the Sillimon Martin Cemetery. The last time I was there was many, many years ago. My uncle Fred Jett which is dead now show me the cemetery in the 60's and told about the road going on over the hill to Bingamon area. Hi Harriet, The Hallack cemetery is on the way to Morgantown. It has been such a long time since I've been there (30+ years) and all I can remember is going past the turnoff for Pricketts Fort and making a right turn onto a country road? There is/ or was a white church above the cemetery. The McIntyre(McIntire) I've seen it spelled both ways; is between Shinnston and Viropa. My Mother was there a couple of years ago and said in was inaccessible. She has written to several officials in Shinnston to see if they would take on the project - but has heard nothing to date. My Mother said when my great Aunt was alive, she paid to have someone keep up the cutting of weeds and foliage. It's a shame as it has historical value- there are quite a few Indians buried there. I also remember, if my memory serves me correctly, that you basically had to go on private property, and climb a hill to even get to the site. Thanks for your interest! Maybe someone has directions or info on these 2 cemeteries that I seek info on.
