You are in luck as I just recieved a flyer with just that information You can write to Pricketts Fort Foundation, RT 3, Prickette Fort State Park, Fairmont, WV 26554 or Phone 304-363-3030 The original Pricketts Fort was built in 1774 by the people of Pricketts Settlement as a place of refuge from Indian attack. During the Revolution, The fort saw use as a military post. by late in the 18th century, the fort was no longer needed and was dismantled. The memory of the Fort lingered on into the 20th century and in 1976 the Fort was reconstructed according to traditional descriptions. Hope this help s some until your information is maile ask for map also Louise Righman [email protected] wrote: > Am very interested in the story/history of this place mentioned in > another e-mail on this list. Tell me Paul why is my E-Mail to VA reappearing on my incoming mail after a few hours or days after I send them back to the author? My e-mail that I am sending out about the census came back. Please give me a E-mail address that I can send out for help with the census as it is not working for me. I have had several the last few days. Where in Ca do you live? The town is not familiar?
