To: <[email protected]> Hello, this is to who ever is offering or willing to look up stuff. I have asked for information on these folks and I realize that there seems to be scant information on them. Anything anyone can find will be appreciated. John Brady Jr. b. 1806, somewhere on the south fork of the Potomac, WV. He married Elizabeth Britton b. 1805, Clarksburg, Harrison County, WV, daughter of Thomas Britton and Ann Warman. Ann's parents were Francis Warman and Catherine Jenkins. The Jenkins came from Prince Georges County, MD, and the Brittons came from Bucks and Philadelphia Counties, PA. I have not been able to find the parents of John Brady Jr. who I believe to have been born in PA and igrated to WV. there was a John Brady born 1806 in Braxton County, but that one is not mine (proven). I am looking for a John Brady Sr. probably born in the late middle 1700s and probably married in the very late 1700s, married to an unknown. At this rate, any new information on any of them would be a blessing. Thank you for offering lookups, which I am sure takes a good deal of time. susan McAtee [email protected]

Enyone with info on Wade family I'am looking for information on a Frank B Wade born 1863 died after 1910 ? thank you. Donna Eli
Guessing at names can be fun -- or drive one bonkers. Not all names, however, imply a family relationship. My name is Dixon Jeffreys Ross. Looks like two surnames and is. Although Dixon was my uncle's given name and easy to trace, he was named from the surname of the author Thomas Dixon); Jeffreys was my mother's maiden name, also easy to trace. So far, so good. My mother was Billy Colvin Jeffreys. Billy of course is typically a boy's name and Colvin would imply a surname. Any family relationship here? Nope! Billy Colvin was the boyhood friend of my grandfather. (I guess they were hoping for a boy.) So although "there has to be some reason why ..." it isn't always apparent and sometimes it is interesting, but it can drive one bonkers if you don't know the story. --Dick Ross ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, March 02, 2001 1:11 PM Subject: Re: [VA-Har-Mon] Caldwell Michael, Thank you for the info on Samuel Harbert and Esther Clemmons, Clemens, If you ever run into a connection between the Harberts and the Clemens families I would surely like to know. There has to be some reason why John and Hope Clemens Law of Harrison County 1800/1810 named one of their sons Benjamin Harbert Law. Additionally there must be a reason why John and Abigail Clemens named their daughter Hopewell. These people are driving me bonkers. Jessie

Could anyone tell me if there are any records for a MORROW family? I am not sure which one. I am trying to find the parents to mine born in 1817 in PA, but find many people at that time lived in this area first of the boundaries changed. I believe possibly Adam, Alexander, or David. Dear Jill....I cannot help you with your William Henry Shaver....I don't know what time period or county you are researching....I have found that Shaver and Shafer and Shaffer and Shaeffer can sometimes be interchangeable.... I have been searching for parents and siblings of Hannah Shafer, daughter of Henry Shafer, married to my Annanias Davis in 1823, Monongalia Co... Information I have does not include a William Henry (please to note though, also, that middle names were often used instead of first names)(My Johnson Davis documented as such on both his marriage and death certificate as Johnson...was listed by parents on census as Marion H J Davis). Our ancestors have a way of making research really tricky for us!! Happy hunting barbara hoehn
