    2. Today I received from the Texas Department of Health a Death Certificate for James Warner Mitchum, who died at age 69 years, 4 months and 23 days on June 7, 1920 in Hood County, Texas at Glen Rose, but who was buried on June 11, 1920 at Pleasant Valley in Wise County by Harris & Harris (undertakers) of Granberry, Texas. This certificate indicates he was born January 19, 1851 in Tennessee. This birth date matches that of a James W. Mitchum born on this date in Georgia to Bartlett C. Mitchum and his wife, Nancy Caroline Camp Mitchum; however, this death certificate, (upon information given by "Mrs. J. W. Mitchum", the widow, I presume), states the deceased's father was J. B. Mitchum and his mother's maiden name was "Kimp" (which may be some phonetic distortion of "Camp"?). Members of the Mitchum family in Texas tell me their J. W. Mitchum, with this same birth date, is buried at Cumby in Wise County. Do you have any idea how we might determine whether the burial place in Pleasant Valley is consistent with the above death certificate information, or whether this death certificate represents a record belonging to a second James Mitchum? Thank you. Alta Mitchem Durden

    3. La Darla, I didn't see Alta Mitchem Durden's address in your forwarded message to the list serve. I'll be happy to send her the cemetery data, if you have her e-mail address.
