Do you have access to the Wise County Messenger for 1926? I have always wanted to know if there was a writeup about my parents wedding on December 17, 1926. They were married in a public wedding on the lawn of the Wise County courthouse. I was told by my parents that this was sponsored by the merchants in Decatur. My father (William Dolphie "Doc" Hillin) was teaching school at Needmore at the time, and his students were trying to find out who was getting married. Daddy claimed comlete ignorance. Mother was Virginia Ferrold Walker, the daughter of County Commissioner Henry Walker. They were married for 75 years. Would be great to find an article about it. Enjoy the e mails!
