Hi Nancy, I looked for the PILGRIM name in the book BIRTH RECORDS WISE COUNTY, TEXAS 1864-1902 by JULIAN G ALLEN. There were only 3 entries. Page 42 BRASHER, Bessie B (04/12/1893) Female BRIDGEPORT (CERT#24992) father: BRASHER, William Chilton (AL) mother: PILGRIM, Victoria Augustus (TX) Page 287 PILGRIM, Joe Henry (03/03/1888) Female Decatur (20589) father: PILGRIM, James Dean (AR) mother: LAWSON, Mary Lou (AR) Page 287 PILGRIM, Homer Sidney (02/02/1899) Male Boyd (6374) father: PILGRIM, Joseph William (GA) mother: TAYLOR, Barbara Ellen (AL) The name Joe Henry sounds like a male name to me.. It was listed as Female in the book... I hope this info will be of help to you.
