Forwarded Message: Subj:subscribe Date:2/27/2004 12:44:21 AM Central Standard Time From:tdduck@netcommander.com To:txwise-L-request@rootsweb.com Sent from the Internet (Details) My great-grandfather rode on horseback to Texas from Tennessee with another man, he stopped off in Wise County/Alvord no one ever said if the other man stayed in Wise County or rode on, don't even know his name, but soon my great-grandfather sent for his wife & baby girl, they came by train & joined him, all of my grandfather's siblings, this three other sisters & two brothers were all born in Alvord & that is where my grandfather lived all his life. That is flat all I know about my grandfather's family, none of the other family members, with many living in Wise County do not know anything about the Hancock's either. My great-parents are both buried at Alvord Cemetery as well as some of their children & their spouses. I would like to know more about where my great-grandfather actually came from & if he had any brothers or sisters. Don't know how to go about that.
