Forwarded Message: Subj:query Date:2/27/2004 9:03:16 AM Central Standard Time From:Ttjzahn To:LaDarlaK I am looking for information on the Hallum family that owned/operated a store in either Bridgeport or Chico in the early 1900's called CC Hallums. The owners were Charles Clark Hallum and his wife, Ruthie. There were three daughters in this family ... Minnie, Tressie, and Ella Faye.
I'm working on transcribing the 1920 Wise County census and just typed in the Hallum family in the town of Bridgeport. It shows: ED# Area Page Line Street House Visited Family Visited Last Name First Name Relationship Sex Age Married (Person-Father-Mother States of Birth) and Occupation 164 Bridgeport 16A 44 Carpenter St 344 362 Hallum Charley C. Daughter F 27 S AR SC AR Dry goods store saleswoman C.C. and Ruth are buried at East Bridgeport Cemetery. I'll send you the headstone pictures in separate emails. LaDarla is working on the 1930 Bridgeport cenus and will soon have it finished.
