That was most likely one of my great great grandmother Mary Jane Thorne Litchfield Altman's sons from her first marriage to William Litchfield. She had two sons, with Litchfield, whose names started with the letter "J", John born abt. 1853 and James born abt. 1855. Her first husband William Litchfield died in April 15,1862 and she married Nathan Altman on Decemberf 17, 1862. Thank you for the reply, Ron Hesdorff
