    2. I was wondering if you have any information in your museum about people from Wise county that served in WWII. I have two great-uncles who lived there and who were enlisted in the military. We believe that they lived there in Decatur at the time they were enlisted. They both returned home. Looking at old photos we believe that they were both in the Army. Their names were Quinton D. Reeves and Vernon Leon Reeves. Thier parents were Newell Vernon and Eda Jane Reeves. Any information would be helpful and greatly appreciated. Thank-you! Brenda Boren

    3. Military records can be obtained from the US Government by going to: http://www.archives.gov/research_room/vetrecs/ It takes them awhile to respond to your request, and you complete their form on line, email it to them, then you must print another "signature" form, sign that and either fax or snail mail it to the records center. Who said it would be easy, but you might be surprised at the heft to the package that comes to your mail box. 3. I went to the website and followed the procedures and printed a Signature Verification form to FAX to them, but the fax number answers and says the number you have dialed is not a working number. ~nancy Lynn Wright wrote: >Military records can be obtained from the US Government by going to: > >http://www.archives.gov/research_room/vetrecs/ > >It takes them awhile to respond to your request, and you complete their form >on line, email it to them, then you must print another "signature" form, >sign that and either fax or snail mail it to the records center. > >Who said it would be easy, but you might be surprised at the heft to the >package that comes to your mail box. > >Lynn Wright (Mr) >Scottsdale, AZ > > >----- Original Message ----- >From: <LaDarlaK@aol.com> >To: <TXWISE-L@rootsweb.com> >Sent: Monday, May 24, 2004 6:24 AM >Subject: [TXWISE-L] World War II > > > > >>I was wondering if you have any information in your museum about people >> >> >from > > >>Wise county that served in WWII.
