Hi everyone, My daughter and I visited Decatur last weekend and took a tour through Oaklawn Cemetery. I am always amazed at how this place seems like a different part of the country with its cedar that surrounds and grows within the cemetery itself. Though in the fall the tall grass seems to take over all cemeteries in this part of Texas the place is still wonderful. The Paradise cemetery is also in bad need of mowing. I drove up the hill south of the square and witnessed the new look of the museum. My! My! What a difference and I love the angel in the bell tower. I drove to view the back and it is almost as pretty as the front. Good work! I can't wait to visit the inside to see what all has been done. Wise County history needs to be preserved and there is no time like the present. Edna Wood-VP Paradise Historical Society
