Has anyone heard of the Kinseys that lived between Boyd and Springtown? My grandmother's name was Willie Mary Kinsey and my grandfather's name was Gabriel Kinsey? And has anyone heard of Mollie Dunlap Drennan who was my other grandmother who lived in Springtown Tx. I am looking for any Dunlaps, Allisons, Drennans from around Springtown Texas. Also looking for any Kinseys around Boyd, Tx. Yvonne Drennan Pewitt

My family ties into the William Cann Drennan and Sarah A. Pruitt family who are buried in the Opal Cemetery that is located near Springtown. I don't have a Millie Drennan in my data base but then I don't have the complete history of this family. Does these names sound familiar? William was born 1842 in SC and Sarah was born 1848 in GA. Mollie was a nivkname for my Grandmother Drennan. That's all I ever heard her called. Her husband was Bud Drennan. She was a Dunlap. They are both buried at Annis Chapel Cemetery close to Springtown off of Hwy 51. My dad, their son was Grady Olin Drennan. His brothers, Marvin, Orville, Jesse and my dad have all passed away. Their sister, Opal passed away. Their sister, my aunt Monna is still living. My brother, William Coy Drennan passed away 2 weeks ago and was buried at Garvin Cemetery near Boyd. My uncle Marvin was married to a Pewitt which was distant kin to my husband, James. Yvonne, I saw in you posting that you were also looking for Drennans. I'm not sure if we are distantly related but my great aunt Clarabelle Coleman married an Amos Drennan 9 Sept 1921. Let me know if there is a connection with the Drennans. I do not know. I have a book about Wise County and I think it has both my grandparents families in it. But, as far as knowing very much about their relatives, I know nothing. I have a cousin, Margaret Drennan Muncy that has done a lot of genology on the Drennans and the Pewitts. Her mother, Alma Drennan was a Pewitt before she married my uncle Marvin Drennan. I was always told if it was spelled like my maiden name, Drennan, then I was kin to them somehow. That's also what my husband was told about his last name, Pewitt. I have a nephew. who was a Drennan (Robert) who did a lot of geonology but he passed away. He did a lot of work even going to Oklahoma where my dad's family was from and to Virginia where my Grandma Kinsey's family lived. I don't know what happened to the data he had. I wish I had it all. Okay. I have always been told if it is spelled the same, we are kin. I have a book that someone put together that has some of my earlier relatives. I will look at it and see if I can find out something. My nephew did a lot of geonolory on the Drennans and Kinseys. He passed away. I wish I knew what happened to the information he found out.
