    1. Murrray Family
    2. Pam McMurray
    3. I am researching the Murray family who migrated to Texas from Missouri between 1873 and 1878. I found them in Clay Co, in the 1880 census. Between 1880 and 1900 they moved to Wise Co. I am a descendant of Jefferson Benjamin Murray and his wife Nancy Ellen Razor, married in Wise Co in 1892 and who moved to Oklahoma after 1900. JB Murray was the son of Henry Thomas Murray and his wife Delilah E.(I am not sure of her maiden name, but it might be Hall) They were the parents of seven children, I believe that all the children were girls, except for JB Murray. I believe that I have found three daughters of six daughters who married in Wise Co. as follows: Annie G Murray married Granville Stepp, they had one daughter who died as an infant and Annie died during the same period of time. H. Ethel Murray married Noah Copeland and she died without issue in 1920. Cora B Murray married Sam I Sturges, they had one son and he died as a child. The resided in Tarrent Co, for the rest of their lives. They however are buried in Wise Co. I am missing daughters LA Murray and JO Murray who I lose between 1880 and 1900. Zillia or Zillian Murray is enumerated with her parents in 1900. My direct ancestor, Delbert Otis Murray, son of JB and NE Razor, married Josie Putman daughter of George Washington Putman and Mary Jane Cole also from the North Texas area. Any information or insights would be appreciated. I think that HT Murray may have had a brother with which he left Missouri?
