In the "Marriage Book 4" for Wise County there is a marriage listed for John Baker and Amanda Lynch, Oct. 7, 1884. However, when I sent the County Clerk's office my check for $7.00 and listed the names and date, they replied that they could find no record of this marriage. Do I need to order the License from somewhere other than the County Clerks Office? Please, can someone explain? Thank you. Nell.........
