    3. Veronica, There is a little more information on the marriage certificates for some of the years, but parents aren't listed. The book I'm working on now is Book 4. It has the ministers name written in long hand, also the date that the license was issued, the date of the marriage, the date it was received back, and the date it was filed. The name of the bride and groom are listed twice. Sometimes those names are different which causes me to make hard choices on which name to list. I think there are witnesses listed. I don't remember if book 1a had all this. It could have had less information on it, I just don't remember as that was last year when I looked at book 1A. Your best bet is to order a copy of the certificate if some of these things would be of interest to you. There are thousands more marriages that I need to index, so I can't be doing lookups or I will not get the new indices completed. You can find out the cost of the certificate and how to order it from the Wise county site. Just look forCOUNTY CLERK CONTACT Information-- on http://www.rootsweb.com/~txwise/wise2.htm A less expensive way to view these data is to order the microfilm from the Mormon Church and have it sent to your local Family History Center. It will cost you $3.25 to use the reel for 6 weeks. If you live close to Decatur or Salt Lake City, you can view the data free.
