Robert Gaines Smith died in Wise County November 14, 1915. Their children were Elizabeth “Lizzie” Smith Canfield, James P. “Jim” Smith, Julia Esther Smith Bond, Lawrence Orr “Bud” Smith, John Thomas Smith, Robert Lewis Smith, Jesse Harrison Smith and Allie Ola Smith Dodds. My ggparents, Andrew Goodman Bond and Julia Esther Smith Bond, had a son Walter born in TX in 1885. His older brother Bob was born in AR in 1885. Andrew Goodman Bond stated in an affidavit in 1930 that he had been a resident of Oklahoma continuously since 1887. Therefore, it seems likely that They joined Julia Esther’s parents and other family in Wise County for the birth of Walter.
