Sullivan (or Sullavan) who died probably between the years of 1905 and 1910. Recently information has surfaced that John Sullivan was either a sheriff or some sort of Law man in Texas, around Lamar Co. who was killed in the line of duty. I know that John lived in Lamar Co. many years, however, he may have been off on business when he was killed. John was born in 1866. He left behind a wife, Arminta, and four children. The only John Sullivan that I have been able to find who died between the years listed above is a John Sullivan who died 1908 in Wise County. I have ordered this death certificate, but it has not arrived yet. If you have these records in close proximity, I would appreciate it greatly if you could check to see if you have a sheriff named John Sullivan. If you are not able tolocate these records, could you please point me in the right direction to locate them. Unfortunately, I am unable to visit Texas any time soon - well, not soon enough to quench my detective work anyway! Best Regards, Briana Sullavan Johnson
