I just discovered your web page on Wise County, TX. My mom was born in Decatur in 1906. She was the youngest of 10 kids. Their family was extremely poor and it is very hard to trace them. A large number of 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th generations still live in the area. They range from Sunset, to Boyd, Alvord and Decatur. Some years ago a niece of mine got a copy of the history of Wise County and we were surprised that only one of the Hanner kids were in there. My grandfather's name was Joseph Wilson Hanner and he was married to Phiola Theodosia Ernest Leverett. I think the family name was Hanna, but due to being from Alabama, when they pronounced Hanna it came out Hanner. My grandfather couldn't read or write. If you happen to run across any information on this family I would appreciate a copy of it. Living in Tulsa, OK I don't get down that way but once a year for a family reunion. It's always so hot that I don't feel like getting out and around. Do you think I could find some information at the Wise County Historical building?
