The computer was destroyed by pouring a soft drink into all parts of it. These unfeeling thieves also vandalized and stole from the Lost Battillion Room. So much effort had been put into gathering objects to honor our brave men who served and were imprisoned in Java during WW II. Other areas of the museum were also vandalized and had items taken. What little money kept in the cash drawer was taken. Everyone has worked so hard to renovate this beautiful old building and preserved some of the county's history, and the money to do so is so hard to come by.. I had the pleasure of visiting the 'hill' in 1995. My mother and I spent a few nights with her cousin in Bowie, and I ran down and did a bit of research. I purchased a couple books while there. My heartfelt sorrow for the damage others did. ear
