NEWS BRIEF Bridgeport Coal Miners¹ Day Saturday, September 11 Bridgeport¹s ninth annual Coal Miners¹ Day festival is scheduled for Saturday, September 11. The event, which is sponsored by the Bridgeport Historical Society, will be held from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. in Harwood City Park. Coal Miners¹ Day features artifacts from Bridgeport coal mines, demonstrations of old time skills by local craftsmen, antiques and collectibles, contests and games for children and adults, musical entertainment, vendor booths and many other attractions.
