Group, There was a young lady who called the Museum day before yesterday concerning the Mitchum Family. While we were talking the phone when dead because we had an electrician working and he turned the breaker off that the phone was plugged into. I want to apologize and do hope she does not think I hung up on her. I had not got to write her name or information down. I believe it was concerning some unidentified photos. However, she did say that she and Alta Mitchum had been corresponding but had not made a connection. Again if she is watching this site I do hope she will accept my apologize and contact us again. If you haven't been by the museum lately you will be surprised at the changes and improvements I hope. We have a contractor now working on the rock work on the outside, repointing and completely rebuilding a Gable that had starting to lean some. The restroom inside are almost completed, enlarging them. We now have a small kitchen area in our office. Painting and hope to soon be back to normal in the Archives after having to move things to paint and reconstruct the conference room. We have two gentlemen who have volunteered a lot of time working at the Museum and without their help we would not be as far along as we have come. Most of all we would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who has donated money and used our Archives, bought our books and the encouragement to continue work. Without your support we would not be to this point. There is still a lot of work to be done; Again Thank You. Thank You Carla Womack, President Wise County Historical Society, Inc. P.O.
