    3. Thanks you Sue - I appreciate the help. This old "buzzard is just hard to pin down. He was my father's favorite grandfather. Old CSA vet - I have his pic on the Hardeman County Courthouse steps in 1919 when the county paid for all the CSA vets to attend a reunion. Just cannot find him anywhere before marriage to Mary Francis Daniels in Dallas in 1872. I have looked and looked in the 1860 and 1850 census. No luck - I think he was born near Milledgeville GA in about 1849 (8 April) But what happened to his people and where I don't know - Family records tell that After being released at the end of CW he learned his home had been burned and his mother had passed away so he just came to TX. 3. Do you have his military records? They will sometimes tell where he was born. http://www.geocities.com/fcruble/velmasfamilygenealogy.html ----- Original Message ----- From: "sbrandon" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, April 07, 2007 5:16 PM Subject: Re: [TXWISE] George Henry Alexander recorded birth Thanks you Sue - I appreciate the help.
