Hello, I am wondering if there were any newspaper or book articles written about the John Baxter and Julia P. (Adair) Kelley family. They moved there sometime between 1880 and 1890 and lived in the Paradise and Cottondale area until their death. They had seven children, Horace Maynard (H.M.), Grace, Holly, Roy A., A. C., C. Frank, and Milton Alonzo (M. A. Lon). I know Horace M., C. Frank, and Milton A. (Lon) for sure stayed in the area. Thank you for your assistance in this area. Donna, The Wise County Historical Society and Museum had an index to the Wise County Messenger for some early years. Rosalie Gregg and her staff will look for your family in these documents for a small fee. I've copied them with this note.
