Milton, I quickly looked at the index for: Wise County History (A link with the Past), First edition, Volume 1, Wise County Historical Survey Committee, Rosalie Gregg, Editor, Copyright 1975 by Wise County Historical Survey Committee, ISBN 0-89015-076-1, Nortex Press and I saw lots of Freemans listed, but no Elmer. I also looked at the index for: Pioneer History of Wise County (From Red Men to Railroads - Twenty Years of Intrepid History) by Cliff D. Cates, Compiled under the auspices of the Wise County Old Settlers' Association. Decatur Texas 1907, reproduced from original printing 1971, Nixon-Jones Printing Company Saint Louis Missouri. and I didn't see any Freemans listed at all. Perhaps somebody more familiar with the history of Wise County will be able to give you more help.
