    3. I think I gave him all we have last night. Although the decedant was the Hawkins funeral home director I could find no funeral card. I sent the death certificate and headstones and found possible death certificate for his father Jack W. Hawkins. I also found two possible probate records from our index. 3. Yes, they were related. Alphus Hawkins (wife Nancy Davis) was born @ 1831 in Ky, and was the father of John W. Hawkins (wife Tennessee Columbia Chitwood). Alphus (shown as Alphas) was listed in Johnson co, Tx in 1880. There are several files at rootsweb, however they don't "connect" thus you need to pull more than one. William Alphus would be W.A. Hawkins, whose father was John W. Looks like John's children were all born in Lone Star, I assume that may have been Johnson? maybe not. Per one of the files, Alphus died in 1917... he and others are buried per her records at Thomas Cemetery. "David E. Pitts" <[email protected]> wrote: I think I gave him all we have last night. 3. Be sure to give a look at our birth records on page http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~drycreek/BC-H-L.htm Looks like the father of William Alpha "Alf" Hawkins was John Wesley Hawkins from KY. Alf Hawkins was married to Sarah Thomas. Pleasant View Baptist Church was first called Thomas. ????????? Sue ----- Original Message ----- From: "David E.
