Larry, Sorry to be so slow about answering your email. I was not subscribed to the Wise Co., mailing list. A friend sent me a copy of the Sandlin posting, and I responded to it, not knowing that my mail to LaDarlaK was going to the mailing list. I did not join the mailing list until another friend sent a copy of the email you wrote. I really appreciate the info you sent. It corresponds with what I have. James M. Sandlin was my husband's great grandfather. Mel never knew James M., but he remembers Nancy Ann Anderson Sandlin quite well. She lived until 1947 and was nearly 98 when she died. Her daughter Ada Mae Sandlin was 93. Ada Mae's daughter is still living and will be 93 in November. She lives alone in an apartment complex for senior citizens, still drives her car and takes care of herself. Her daughter's home is not far away, so she can reach her daughter or granddaughter easily. Maybe part of the tendency toward long life comes from the Sandlin line. What do you think about the attempts to connect these American Sandlins to royalty in Scotland? Thanks again for your info. Ruth H.
