SANDLIN b. ca. 1838 Mo. (33) d._________ ANCESTRY Jonathan (9) James (32) William (1) John (1) m. Nancy A. Anderson, 1870, Van Zandt County, Texas;, b. Oct 1849 Texas. Issue: Ada b. ca. 1874 Texas Andrew J. (3) Iola b. ca. 1880 Texas Census: Butler County,Mo. 1850. Hempstead County, Ark. 1860. Van Zandt County, Texas 1880. Served in Companies H & K, 11th & 17th Consolodated Arkansas Infantry during the Civil War. Van Zandt County, Texas Marriage Book 3, Jun 18, 1882, widow, Nancy remarried to James E. Parker These belong to the line of John Sandlin. Not our line which goes back to a Thomas Sandlin. Both John and Thomas were in NC about the same time (abt 1700) and in about the same place but no proof of any connection but logic says they probably are releated. I only keep info on the Thomas line which went from NC to GA to LA to TX. The John line went NC to KY to TX (maybe another stop along the way). There are two other main Sandlin lines. One went from NC to SC to AL and the other went NC to SC to FL. Milton Sandlin in Arlington TX is the keeper of the John line info. You can email him at [email protected]_ (mailto:[email protected]) and he'll help. Sorry I can't help more.
