    2. I would like to make a suggestion for people to consider. For those who have original genealogy documentation, set up a section in your file cabinet and keep all the original documents you have in that section. In the event of an emergency, like the recent forest fires, you can grab those files and take them with you when you have to evacuate and you wouldn't have to search for them. You probably wouldn't have time to search anyway. They can't be replaced, even though they have been scanned. My next shopping trip will be to find an inexpensive suitcase that I can keep near my genealogy area so I can escape with them in tact. I have CD's of my computer genealogy kept at my two daughters homes, in two separate states, so I can restore my work eventually if necessary. All my pictures are scanned and saved on CD's at their homes also. I keep an inventory list of all my books at their homes also. With all the forest fires recently, I live in an area that has had forest fires, I packed up everything I wanted to protect and have it ready to go. Hopefully it won't be necessary but I'm ready in case. Just thought I would share my recent thoughts. Marge ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.
