Paige, I show a Minnie Farmer that died in Wichita County on Aug 26, 1930 Cert # 42221. Could that be her? The marriage certificates that we have indexed on the Wise County web site do not have any additional information like parents or witnesses. It does have the minister's name and the clerks name and the date of the license, the date of the marriage and the date the marriage certificate was filed. Moreover it has the name of the bride and groom twice. Sometimes the names of the bride and groom were very difficult to read because the clerk wrote like my sister. If you know what she is saying there is no problem, but all the m,n,i,o,a,r, and s are written the same. Also the t's are not always crossed. In short it is very difficult at times. So if you think there is a possibility that I mis-indexed a name you may want to contact the county clerk and get a copy. The microfilm I used went back to Salt Lake City months ago. Have you found your great grandmother listed on any census? There are a few birth records before 1903, but the state didn't require them until then.
