My G-Grandfather F. N. Raymond (Francis Newton Raymond)was a lst Lt. in Capt. George W. Stevens Wise County Rangers. He served for 4 months (Nov 26, 1873 until Mar 26, 1874). This information came from the Ranger Muster Roll. Mr. Raymond was born in New York in 1849 and was married to Martha Jane Start, who was the daughter of Martha Ann Jennings Start. My GG-Grandmother, Martha Ann Jennings Start was also the sister of Thomas Jennings and Henry Jennings who were also in the Wise County Rangers. Also, Capt. George W. Stevens was a brother to my GGG-Grandmother (Ann Pierce Stevens Jennings. Hope this might help you.
