please don't ask which source (I can't remember).. at one time, there was some source/record that I feel was conflicting as to when Sam Woody Jr and his wife, came to Texas. The source seemed to indicate all of them came together, which I believe is not accurate. Sam Jr's wife was Emeline Breazeale. Her father, David, died in the mid to late 1840s, and there was involvement by Sam in settlement of his father in laws estate. At one time, I lived in Roane county, and found (personally touched) the probate file for the father, which included a receipt signed by Sam on his wife's behalf. There was no indication of this being sent from Texas (as in someone acting power of attorney). Sam Jr and Emeline are still living in Tenn when the 1850 census was taken; their eldest son was born there, and they moved before the birth of the 2nd child. Other records prove that Sam (presumably dad) was in Texas pre 1850, along with other children. I have not seen the photo, or background on that.. just wanted to provide the clarification that I have. I know at least one place seemed to contradict the documents between the father, Samuel and the son, Samuel. --- On Thu, 3/19/09, Bruce Woody <bwoody01@tampabay.rr.com> wrote: From: Bruce Woody <bwoody01@tampabay.rr.com> Subject: Re: [TXWISE] Parker Co. History Someone told me that there is a Parker Co. History, that has a picture of Samuel and Hannah Woody. Is that a fact? They were my great great great grandparents. And, would love to see a picture of them.
