Yes, I've seen that on Find-a-Grave. We named those cemeteries like the Wise County Museum had them named before us. See list of cemeteries on page http://www.wisecountytexas.info/cemeteries/cem_info.htm Feel free to use any of our pictures that are online if you think that Find-a-grave needs changing. There IS a 'Cowboy Church' sign NOW at the one we called Pleasant Grove # 1. Guess the church changed it's name? I think people still call the cemetery Pleasant Grove. That's the church and cemetery not very far south of Decatur. Pleasant Grove # 2 is a smaller church and cemetery southwest of Rhome, or near Keeter. The third one is just a cemetery, no church, close to Chico. There's a map that shows Pleasant Grove # 1 and 2 on page http://www.wisecountytexas.info/cemeteries/southeast.htm Number 3 is on page http://www.wisecountytexas.info/cemeteries/northwest.htm We have the same problem with Thomas Cemetery. The church is Pleasant View and they call the cemetery that now too. That Norwood-Thomas-Crafton Cemetery goes by all 3 different names! The 911 maps have one name and the sign on the cemetery, a different one. Sue ----- Original Message ----- From: Richard Hollis To: 'Sue Tackel' Sent: Sunday, October 18, 2009 9:43 AM Subject: Pleasant Grove Cemeteries... Hey Sue...how you doing? Was looking at some Hicks surnames on yall's cemetery pages on your website...the ones I was looking at was at Pleasant Grove Cemetery #1. Looked back at findagrave to see what was there and on their webpages.there is a mixture of Pleasant Grove Cemeteries, comparing some of the names it would seem at least in a couple of instances someone has mixed them up...the one identified as Pleasant Grove Cemetery has a #2 picture on the front page as well as a church picture for Pleasant Grove Cowboy Church..the one identified as Pleasant Grove Cemetery #1 is in Bridgeport..but yalls is Decature, right?......etc.....smile.. I want to try to get findagrave to fix the names or merge them if necessary, but I don't know where all of these cemeteries are to know how they should be identified...I know your plate is full but when you get a moment would you take a look at the following page which lists all of them and see if you can tell me from location how you guys would identify the cemeteries? Thanks..love your site..you guys do great work, very informative.. http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=csr&CScn=pleasant+grove&CScntry=4&CSst=46&CScnty=2768 Richard Hollis 13619 Pallwood Lane Cypress, Texas 77429 Findagrave Contributor: 46868975 http://www.familytreemaker.com/users/h/o/l/Richard-D-Hollis/ http://www.rootsweb.com/~kycasey/?o_xid=9872&o_lid=9872&o_xt=9872 http://www.rootsweb.com/~mostodd2/index.html http://www.rootsweb.com/~txclay/ http://urbanlegends.about.com/ http://politicalhumor.about.com/library/blbushisms.htm
