Sue, How do we add a civil war veteran to the Wise County information? Two of my ancestors lived in Wise county and are buried in Wise county cemeteries. Thomas M. Provence is buried in the Cottondale cemetery and his brother Frazier Vandalia (F.V.) Provence is buried in Bethel cemetery. Both of the brothers served in the 19th Texas Infantry (Confederate) during the Civil War. I have copies of both of their Civil War military records showing their service.
