Pat, The year 1860 and Benton county, AR jumped out at me on this post. My Holmes, Harrison, Hardwick, Wallace, Montgomery families were there in that time period and migrated to Wise Co, TX! Do you see any of those names in your tree of Trammels and Stephenses? Neighbors often moved together, I know.......then it was handy to just marry the person down the road. The stepmother of Elizabeth Caroline Stephens, wife of George W. Jennings, was Julia Ann Trammel. Julia Ann married Garrett Stephens before 1860 in Benton County, Arkansas. Julia Ann and Garrett were located in Denton County by 1870 and then Palo Pinto by 1880. > > Thanks for considering my request, > > Pat Lefors Dawson > > -----Original Message----- > From: Ronald Hesdorff <ronph@sbcglobal.net> > To: TXWISE@rootsweb.com > Sent: Mon, 18 May 2009 9:08 pm > Subject: [TXWISE] James Riley Trammell and wife Sarah Jane > > > > > > > > > Does anyone know the burial place of James Riley Trammell and his wife Sarah > Jane Trammell? > > They died in Alvord, Wise County, TX.
