    3. For whatever it is worth, the Ieaac Carey, 1850-1884, in Oaklawn Cemetery is buried adjoining Wilson Cook and his wife Caroline and their daugher Frances M. Millhollon who was the first wife of Samuel L. Millhollon. She died in 1879. Samuel Millhollon then married Charlotte Corden Carey who was the sister of Isaac Carey. 1. [TXWISE-L] Wise County Historical
    2. From:mscoggin@cherokeetel.com To:txwise-l@rootsweb.com Sent from the Internet (Details) Hello, I am Mary Lee Scoggins and I am wondering how can I go about finding out where I can get a copy of an article in Vol. 20 of Wise Co. Historical Soc. Mag. ? The article is on Charles W. Mason family. I have 2 pages that were badly copied with missing parts and pictures that the heads were cut off. I am not for certain if this the correct Mag. but I am trying to find out. I am sure it is Vol. 20 of whatever book. The lady that gave me these two pages isn't alive now and I have discovered that the Mason family is a big piece of the puzzle of my Lee Family that I am working on. Does the HS have an e-mail address? Thank You Mary mscoggin@cherokeetel.com

    2. Cheryl Walker
    3. Attn: David Pitts Hello, My name is Cheryl Blanton Paul and I am new to the list. I am not sure how to navigate here. I read a story in the January 2003 archives about the Robinsons in Chico. I enjoyed the story very much. I am descended from Drs. Jacob, John B and William Pancoast Blanton. Do you happen to know if the Dr. Blanton in your story is one of these men? I knew a Mrs. Robinson and her daughter LaBeth in Chico. They were good friends of my parents James Burgess and Valeria (Sparks) Blanton. I have been trying for sometime to find something about my gggrandfather Jacob. He is buried in Wise Co. with his wife Sarah Donnell. If you run into any of these people I would like hearing from you. Thank you again for the story. Cheryl Paul

    1. [TXWISE-L] Belle Terry
    2. Sue or La Darla, I just found a cemetery listing for Belle Terry born Aug. 7. 1861 and Died Oct. 16, 1900. She is buried beside Henry Clay Collins and may be his sister Belle who I did not have any information on. She is not listed in the Funeral Records. When you are at the museum some time, can you look and see if there is an obit or any other info on her that would tell me that this Belle Terry is the same as Belle Collins? I don't know when I will be able to come back down there and look. I would appreciate any help you can give me on this one. Thanks! Julie Coley - Wichita Falls, TX

    1. [TXWISE-L] Bollinger, Batchelor, Gibbs, James Families
    2. Quenci
    3. The above families, are direct lines of my father's family. John Henry Gibbs married Minnie Batchelor in the 1890's in Texas. Minnie was born in Lampasas, Tex. Her mother's name was DeLaney Batchelor. I don't know her father's name. John Henry Gibbs mother was Elizabeth Bollinger, his father was John A. Gibbs. Both Elizabeth and John A. Gibbs are buried in Eastland County, Texas. John Henry Gibbs sister Cora Gibbs married John James, and lived in her later years near Guthrie Oklahoma (1950's). Do you have any record of these families, as I found those names on the Wise County list of names in the Wise Heritage web site.Any information would be greatly appreciated. I was born in Wellington, Texas to Urban Gibbs and Ola Eleanor (Ellena) Driskill, both the Gibbs and Driskill family lived there from the late 1800's until the present time. Henry A. Gibbs and Elizabeth Bollinger Gibbs have numerous children, perhaps some of the offspring lived in Wise County at one time. Sincerely LaQuencis Gibbs Scott

    1. [TXWISE-L] Lovejoy
    2. My great grandparents were John Lemuel Jr. and Nancy Douglas Lovejoy who are buried at Babb Cemetery. John was the son of John Lemuel Lovejoy Sr. and Phoebe Aaron who are buried in Denton and have a Citizen of the Republic of Texas marker. William C. Lovejoy was a son of George Lovejoy, brother of John Jr. I already had requested pictures of Babb Cemetery markers several years ago and have also visited the area but could not get access to it. I have been working on this Lovejoy family and am trying to fill in blanks. I know that William married Mary Stubblefields but have no information on a connection to the Mattix family. John and Nancy had the following children: 1. Mary (Mollie) Phoebe married James Willis Spann 2. Leanna Frances married John Robert Stockton 3. William Andrew (Bud) married Nannie Jane Hume 4. James Francis married Minnie Sykes and Myrtle Eads 5. Ulysses Grant married Minnie Lee Ewell (these are my grandparents) Do you know what the connection to the Mattix family is? I would really appreciated any information you might have. Thanks again and I think Wise County has the best web site in Texas. Shirley Derington Houston, Texas sderingtox@aol.com
