    3. I have been off list for several years, but I continue looking for any/all descendents of the Fullingim family. We have never been able to find family of S. Antoinette Fullingim, who married Martin Stewart in Lamar county. I think the S stood for Sarepta?? After Martin's death (he is buried in lamar county), his widow moved to Wise county. Have never been able to confirm a death date, but it is thought to be after 1900. In 1880, she is living in Wse county. Daughter Marthat/Mattie Stewart also married in Lamar county to Marion Boswell, but he does not seem to be living by 1880. A son, A.L. Boswell is listed in the household with mom and grandma, age about 2. I don't know if mom remarried or not, I would think she would have. The youngest Stewart daughter was Lorena, who married Walter James Wood. Lorena and husband also died in Wise county, have found both the funeral home records and cemetery record. The funeral home records mentions 2 sons, but that's the last I find of them. Neither seem to show in social security death records. I even went as far to send email to James Woods Motors, thinking he might be from this line, but he isn't. One other son of Antoinette and Martin, Dell Stewart, died young. This is the Dell Stewart who is buried at Old Oak Grove ceemtery. Brother E.C. Fullingim and Jim Smith founded Oak Grove church, so his siblings/ family were charter members, needless to say. Other siblings of E.C and Antoinette were Archibald Fullingim, Mary Fullingim Hale (wife of John), Jesse P Fullingim, and Fletcher Fullingim. Another sister was Frances Fullingim Ruckman, who remarried after her husband's death, and remarried an Akins.. she is buried at Catlettt Creek (Waggoner) cemetery, near her mother, Martha Wade Fullingim. Love to hear from anyone interested in these people, or others connected to them. Wendy Caldwell

    3. Hello LaQuencis: regarding your e-mail: I raised in Wellington, from 1931, and graduated from high school in 1944. My mother, and several brothers and one sister are buried there. I have heard of some Driskills there, but I don't remember just who they were. My youngest daughter lives in Tennessee with her husband and daughters. I do not recognized James and Ola Driskills, or the Gibbs. I moved away to Wichita Falls in 1944, and worked there until I married my husband, Ed Cole--he was in the Air Force. We have lived in Georgia ever since. Ted Driskill's name doesn't ring a bell though. I would like to help you, as an old Wellington ex-resident. I hope to go to Wellington, in August, for my 60th high school reunion. It was a small class, and several have passed on. I doubt if any of this information would help, but I hope it does. I am still working on my genealogy though. Let me hear from you. Bye now. Ruth Terry Cole Hello Ruth Cole, Re: your message to Ron Hesdorff and the Terry and Goodwin Families. I was born in Wellington, Texas, and both of my grandparents settled there in the late 1800's, One of my uncles married a Frances Goodwin his name was Ted Driskill (real name Augustus Ray Driskill. They had a daughter named Jan Driskill who is married and lives in Tennessee. If this rings a bell I could contact one of my relatives to get Jan's married name and e-mail address. My mothers family was James and Ola Driskill, and my fathers family was John and Minnie Gibbs. My mother, father, brother and I was born in Wellington and moved away in 1940. We Wellington folks have to help each other in this genealogy. 3. Military records can be obtained from the US Government by going to: http://www.archives.gov/research_room/vetrecs/ It takes them awhile to respond to your request, and you complete their form on line, email it to them, then you must print another "signature" form, sign that and either fax or snail mail it to the records center. Who said it would be easy, but you might be surprised at the heft to the package that comes to your mail box. 2. That was most likely one of my great great grandmother Mary Jane Thorne Litchfield Altman's sons from her first marriage to William Litchfield. She had two sons, with Litchfield, whose names started with the letter "J", John born abt. 1853 and James born abt. 1855. Her first husband William Litchfield died in April 15,1862 and she married Nathan Altman on Decemberf 17, 1862. Thank you for the reply, Ron Hesdorff

    3. We have a William M. Weatherly (1846-1884) buried at Crafton Cemetery (that's in the NW part of the county in the town of Crafton, near the town of Chico). He is buried by Rachel C. (Died 1881, aged 55 years - Mother of J.R.). There's no other Weatherly's buried in the cemetery. Check page http://www.wf.net/~drycreek/craftonm-z.htm The dates are close, but the wife is not C.N. Could this be him? Did he remarry???? I'll send you these headstone pictures in separate emails. 3. Hello, I am new to the list, and hope there is someone who can help me. I am trying to find out something about my g-grandmother's sister, Elizabeth "Bettie" BUTLER, who married Joe D. SUMMERS. I found them in 1900 Callahan Co., TX, and also in 1910 Mitchell Co., TX, living in Loraine. He was the owner of a dry goods store. In 1910 Mitchell Co., living next door to them was Allie B. and William H. Summers. I assume William H. Summers was the brother of Joe D. Summers. Leslie T. Summers was living with Allie B. and William H. Summers, and he was listed as brother. I found Allie and William H. Summers in 1920 living in Bridgeport. He was a grocery store merchant. There was a Walter E. BUTLER, 33, brother-in-law, along with his wife, Virginia, 23, and son, Carter G. Butler, 2, living with Allie and William H. Summers. This makes me believe that Allie must have been Allie BUTLER. Allie and William H. Summers had been married 6 years when the 1910 Mitchell Co., TX census was taken. Allie and William H. Summers were still in Bridgeport when the 1930 census was taken. I don't know what happened to Bettie Butler and Joe D. Summers. I assume they died between 1910 and 1920. I don't think Bettie and Joe had any children. I've been told they might have moved to Fort Worth and died here, but I have no idea when. Is there anyone on this list who might have any information about these folks? If there is, I'd love to hear from you, and will be happy to share what I have on these folks. Thanks, and have a wonderful evening. Best wishes, Sharon Clark Fort Worth, TX clarksha@swbell.net
