I found a James A. Neel buried at East Bridgeport Cemetery next to Nellie Neel. I'll send you these headstone pictures in separate emails. I also found the funeral records for Nellie on the list on page http://www.wf.net/~drycreek/funeral_home_records.htm Looks like she was married to James A. (it gives dates) and then remarried (but is buried with the Neel last name??) Found the funeral record for Bertha Mae Cunningham, and it has her parents as Jim Neal and Bell Snoder. She has sisters and step-sisters. Maybe you can get this all straightened out! I'll send you these records. If you find others that you want let me know. I have the funeral records and headstone pictures. I'll send you these in separate emails. If you want others let me know. The funeral record says she died of "Dropsey". I'm not sure what that is. Lots of the old funeral records say that. ???? Hi Sue, This is Shandra in California that you so very kindly helped with Eliza Preston's headstone photo. I am somehow getting lots of correspondence intended for other researchers, and am not sure how this is happening, but I am replying to you on one of the recent ones so that you can see it too. Eleanor, I have heard of this Fannie J. Clifton that taught school. My grandmother was Fannie Lee (Clifton) McNeely and lived in Greenwood. She is not, however, the same person that you seek. I had an inquiry about 4 or more years ago from someone looking for info on the teacher, Fannie Clifton. As far as I know, I am not related to her. If I find additional info on Fannie J. Clifton, I will post it to the list. Do you know the location in Wise County where Fannie J. Clifton taught?
