    2. In my database, I have a Harvey James Terry and wife Annie Burgess. Harvey James Terry was born 21 Feb. 1910 in Wise Co. Harvey's parents were Henry C. Terry and Jeannette Goodwin. Could they be related to your Terry's? Julie

    3. Yes I went to school with them. Sherman, I believe was in my Grad, I'm not for sure about that. Never did know what happen to them. I knew there was a bunch of them. I think Mr. Hobbs has a hard time feeding all of them. This was depression years, we didn't have cloths, like kid have today. Candy was a treat, even if it cost a penny. Some kid never received a Christmas present. We went to Church to get a shack of candy. McMast, always gave away candy at Christmas. I remember Sherman coming to school with a banana, that was a treat. Maybe you would get them once a year. There was six in our family, we always had a enough, but cloths, was still hard to come by. I pick cotton one year, I was about eight or nine, I pick enough cotton to buy two pair of overalls, and a red wagon. That wagon was one of the greatest gift I every received in my life. My folks taught me what ever you want, you make the money to buy it. I was the oldest boy in the family, so there was on one to hand me down cloths. I'm proud of that, I'm not sorry, about any of my life, except, I did not study hard enough in school. Billy

    3. Doris, were you asking about Turnbos a few weeks ago? One of my Gr Grandfather's sisters married a Turnbo. I also have recently come across a picture of Joe Turnbo. I have no idea how he ties in. I wrote you earlier about a Lousie Turnbo that lived with my gr grandparents in the 1910s. Her mother died and she lived with them for a believe four years. 3. In my family my grandfather, Charlie Minor had a first cousin who was born in Bridgeport in 1914 that married J.D. Coffman. He worked for the Rock Island and lived in the Riverside part of Fort Worth, Texas in the 1960s. The cousin's name is Ruth P. Parish, daughter of Thomas and Flora Paris McCurry Parish. They married in Bridgeport in 1897. Ruth had a son named Jeffrey Don Coffman. He was born before 1948. She also had a daughter younger. If this is the same set of Coffman's I can find out her name. I believe it was Joanna and she would have been born around 1946. 3. I have a question for Billy. Did you know any of my first cousins that lived in Bridgeport. Their name was Hobbs and their dad managed a fishing camp for a while at the lake. There were 11 children in that family and the four oldest were boys and all four served in WW II. Their names were Randall, George, Acie and Sherman. Did you know any of them? Shirley in TX

    3. Thanks, David for even remembering the Scoggins from Wise Co. My G.Grandfather was S.C. (Chesley/Chester) he is buried out at East Mound. Some of this family connection are Dewbre, Gann, Koeninger, Horschlar, Jeter, Johnson, Fisher, Barnett, Southard, Jackson, Kindle, Holland. S.C. & Amanda/Mandy had 15 children. This is some of the surnames the children married. Oh I forgot to list Davis, that is who my grandmother married on 10 Sep 1897 Wise Co. TX David E. EVERYTIME I see his name on a post, I think, "He sure is always helpful." I think that everytime, I swear. 3. No, she told me. Most of my words in that posting were her words. I should have put quotation marks around them. One time at her house, we were looking at the photoalbum and she was pointing to the pictures and telling us the names and who and how related and their stories. I asked her onec if I could write an index and leave in the album. There is no one left that knows either and she knows this. She told us this. (by us, I mean me and my Mom) No way can I remember them all. Sorry, I vented. Excuse me. I can only hope this will change some other mom or grandmother mind if they ever feel that way. The bad thing about it is My MOM was serious. My Mom has a twin brother that Grandmother said she was giving the album to him. That's fine, atleast some one will have it. My hope is that he may be able to Identify a few. ~nancy LaDarlaK@aol.com wrote: >In a message dated 10/6/2004 11:49:56 PM Central Standard Time, >rownan@earthlink.net writes: >AND we don't have any idea who they are, >AND NO ONE ELSE KNOWS who they are because >GRANDMOTHER elects not to tell us since we are just now asking.
