David Pitts has finished with the next batch of Wise County birth certificates. We now have the images of certificates for 3,400 people that we can email out on request. Check the links to the data on page http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~drycreek/birth_records.htm I've updated this data and corrected some errors. (Please send errors and additions to me or David.) We hope to make this a real good source of information. Go to page http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~drycreek/BC-Avail.htm for the list of certificates David has imaged and can email out. There are a few in the 1800's and they end in 1907 (for now). In the alphabetical data lists these available ones will be the certificate numbers from 1-3400 with no parenthesis around the number (the numbers with parenthesis are delayed certificate numbers). That's not nice, saying they left her behind. You should just say they left her and forget about adding parts of her anatomy in the description (LOL) On Feb 21, 2007, at 3:21 PM, Ed Adams wrote: > Trying to locate the burial place of Elizabeth Adams. Elizabeth Adams lived in Wise county Texas in 1880. Would like to find where she is buried. ed adams
I'll send you the headstone pictures from Chico Cemetery for him and his wife, Annie Laura, in separate emails. I also found funeral records for both and an obituary for him that I'll send too. Check the links on page http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~drycreek/ and let me know if you find other things you want. The 1920 census on page http://freepages.history.rootsweb.com/~drycreek/ed_161.htm has him living with his parents and 2 brothers in the Bridgeport area. His father is Rev. Chester R. The 1930 census on page http://freepages.history.rootsweb.com/~drycreek/ed-17pgs10-18.htm shows him living with his mother Bell (Margaret) in Chico. He was a stone crusher fireman. HI to All, There was a posting some time back, where someone was looking for Sullivan's of Wise County, TX. I am connected to the Sullivan's of Alabama, and am wondering if there might be a connection, some way, some how to those folks that were living in Wise County, TX If the person who had requested Sullivan information would contact me, maybe we can put the families together. Norman Huppert [email protected] Thank you

Trevia had noted on p.32 of class outline - a govt bulletin - "Guidelines for Evaluation and Registering > Cemeteries and Burial Places." Well it has been posted Online at the link below: > > http://www.cr.nps.gov/nr/publications/bulletins/nrb41/ and from another class member: << Thank you so much for this site! I have just "copied and pasted" the whole sixty pages into a Word document! Now all I have to do is print it off and put it into a notebook or bind it! I can't wait to read all of it. I could have done it in a PDF format, but MS Word seems to be the fastest for me.>>
Richard, Here is what our Wise Co. cemetery records show. Sullivan J.P. b.June 11, 1833 d.Sept 19, 1917 Chico 1285 Sullivan Mrs. J.P. b. Sept 6, 1846 d. Mar 27, 1923 Chico 1286 I don't know what Mrs J. P.'s given name was, so I can't be sure, but this might be them. Do you have more information about the family. I don't have them in my data base. I'm guessing that they are related to the Stack family. Somebody had corrected the name to be Sulivan, from Sulvian, not Sullivan. 1910 Census, Wise County Texas, Precinct 7, E. I pulled this census page up. The handwriting is real clear. They lived on North States Street in Decatur near his father (I guess ??). They all worked in the laundry. I'll send you the "snip" image of this part of the census page in separate email. Thanks for the input. I know that we have a lot of unmarked graves in Texas and some of them are my relatives. It is just that it seems so strange that there is nothing more about this child. LaFon
