Hi; My 2 cents worth ! The father of my GGrandfather, James Basil Hunt, died and his mother remarried a John A. Parsons. When she predeceased him, John A. Parsons was appointed the Guardian James Basil in Hunt Co, TX courts. John A. Parsons was HIS step-father and James Basil Hunt inherited a Land Colony Cert. from his Grandmother for his support. This may be another reason for the necessity to be appointed Guardian !
