    1. [TXWILLIA] Adoptions
    2. The first thing that I did when I found out about the birth records on line was look to see what name my adopted children were listed under. We adopted them in 1986 when they were 4 and 5. We were sent new birth certificates and I only found them in the list under their new names not under the old. My children's birth mother came back into their life in 1996. At first she made mine and my husband's life miserable with the children chiming in (they were 14 and 15). Now that they're on their own, she's making their life miserable and my daugther says over and over, "I wish she'd never came back into our life." Unfortunately, that seems to be the way it is with many, but it's a journey every adopted child seems to find necessary, for better or for worse. Vik PS Does that mean that if I go to Austin I might could find info on my cousin who was given up for adoption back in 1960 or 61?
