Sally, Am afraid that I don't remember ever seeing those names before but that is not saying they are not connected. I feel like all those DYCHES/DYKES families are connected, there were just a lot of children with similar names!!!! My line: Josiah Dyches and Lucinda __________, probably married in late 1790s in South Carolina. Were in St. Tammany Parish in 1819 when Josiah died. Then listed in Washington Parish in 1830. Lucinda and her children finally moved to Texas in 1830s and eventually settled in Williamson Co., Texas. William C. Dyches and Jane ____________ were probably married in late 1820s or early 1830s in Washington Parish. They moved to Texas with the rest of the family. Lavica Dyches and James Bingham were married in 1850 in Williamson Co., Texas. They lived in Williamson Co., Bell Co., Milam County with Lavica dying in Kimble Co. in 1910. She is buried in the Old Junction Cemetery. Nancy Ann Bingham married James Poey Beard in Milam County in 1882. They lived in Williamson Co. all their lives. They died in Williamson Co, and are buried in the Granger City Cemetery. Robert C. Beard married Annie Maude Bryan in Williamson Co. They also remained in Williamson Co. all their lives. Robert died in 1970. Rowena Beard married Wesley Johnson in 1937. Jackie Johnson Married Herb Morgan in 1968 in Travis Co. That's my line. Let me know if anyone recognizes a connection to their line. Sally, let me know what your line looks like. Interesting to see how the names run. Usually a lot alike. Go here: Jackie, I am researching the name Dykes, said to be at one time from St Tammany Parish, along with the names Pace, Thigpen and Bratton. It is my granddaughters marriage name. her husbands father is Frannon Hosey Dykes Sr., whose grandfather is thought to be Julius Dykes bn 1897 in Sabine Parish. Do any of these names ring a bell?
