    1. Re: [TXWILLIA] Rattlesnake Inn
    2. I live out of just out of Florence near Lawler, but I regularly drive past Rattlesnake Inn. All that I have ever noticed there are two or three bars -- no gas stations, no churches, just bars. In fact, I thought until recently that The Rattlesnake Inn was only the name of one of the bars, not realizing it was the name of community. I've never noticed a cemetery, but perhaps there is one off in the woods. It's about 10 miles northwest of the intersection of I-35 and Texas 195 on 195. My gr-gr-grandfather Johnson Collins is apparently buried there. He was a member of the Second Advent Christian Church (where's that?) when he died in 1899 as a result of a wagon accident. He was also a civil war vet and was active in the Texas reform movement (Farmers Alliance). Thanks ERic >>
