Hi Grace Gipson, the brother to Samuel David DAVIS, b Feb. 15, 1863 in MS, d May 11, 1933 in Granger, Williamson Co., TX, was Edward Garrett DAVIS of Rankin Co., MS. The Samuel I referenced in my message was married to Alice BRISCOE, b Jan. 1, 1871 (MS?), d June 8, 1962 in Granger, Williamson Co.,TX. They had two known sons: (1) Samuel Briscoe DAVIS, b Jan. 5, 1894, d Nov. 16, 1940; (2) Claude Powers DAVIS, b Aug. 1901, d June 6. 1973. I am not aware of any other relatives that moved to TX other than Samuel. Does this help? If so, I would love to correspond further with you.
