Rebecca, My prayers and condolences to the family of the young lady whose life was so tragically cut short and my prayers for the other young people at McNeil High who were involved and their families as well. I wanted you to know that I'm still around and still willing to help out. I will have to go off line for a few days in the next couple of months as we will be moving up close to Kansas City within the next couple of months. Also, due in large part to the information you provided me, I have made great strides in my Walbrick/Wolbrueck lines all over Texas, since Thanksgiving. Even found a half brother to my grandfather that I never knew about ! Thank You! I hope to be able to respond more fully next week to the people who have expressed an interest in helping with the data entry for the web page. Because many of you do not live in this area, you are likely unaware of what has happened this week at McNeil High School. Just two hours after the student body was told that McNeil High School had been named a National Blue Ribbon School, 6 of our kids were in a terrible 3 car accident. The accident occurred right in front of the school. We lost one of the kids; she died at the hospital. As you can imagine, it has been a long week. Tomorrow, after getting the seniors together for graduation rehearsal in the morning, we have a funeral service at school in the afternoon. I'll be in touch. Rebecca http://three-legged-willie.org
Rebecca, My deepest sympathy goes out to all of those involved in the terrible car accident, and especially to the family of the young lady that died. My prayers are with all of you at this most difficult time. Sincerely, Grace Gipson
Leonidas Fletcher Hurt's brother Oliver P. Hurt married Emma G. Allison 1/13/1873, Williamson County. They later moved to Rising Star. I need any information on William King Simpson and his wife Mary Reaves. They moved to Georgetown around 1880. Mary died in 1886 and is buried in Berry Creek Cemetery. She was only 26 years old. They are both from Hardeman County, Tn. http://community.webtv.net/hayes211/THEHUNTFAMILY
Jackie, Linda, Jane, Pardon me for joining in on your conversation, but this combination of surnames really got my attention. Leonidas Fletcher HURT md. Elizabeth S. YOUNG and they were in Berry's Creek, Williamson County by 1868. Nearby lived Elizabeth's brother, Barnett Hardin YOUNG, and their father, Hugh Rogers YOUNG. Later, Fletcher and Elizabeth HURT lived near Corn Hill and their daughter, Lena Virginia HURT married Jesse S. WHITE and they are my grandparents. Another daughter, Lorena HURT, md. Any connection to your lines, or is this just another one of those strange coincidences? Gene Helms in Dallas

Sorry, Frances--I have absolutely no info on Thomas Monroe Jackson, and I wish you success in your research. My surnames are ALLISON - REVEALE/REVIEL/REVEIL etc. - YOUNG - HOWARD and other allied families. James A. ALLISON, b. 1810 TN, d.1874, bur. Allison-Friendship Cem., arrived in Wmson Co. by 1847 with his wife, Delilah HOWARD, b. 1812, d. 1874, bur. A-F Cem., and his brother, Elihu Creswell ALLISON, b. 1808 ALA. James and Delilah had 12 children, among them Andrew Jackson ALLISON, b. 1855 Wmson Co., who in 1874 married Sarah Alice REVEALE, b. 1859 Bell Co. Both the ALLISON and REVEALE families intermarried with the YOUNG family in Wmson Co.: David Downey YOUNG and wife, Charity MITCHELL: son Joseph White YOUNG married Margaret Anna REVEAL, sister of Sarah Alice REVEALE (wife of Andrew Jackson ALLISON). son John James YOUNG married Sarah Jane ALLISON, dau. of Elihu Creswell ALLISON, a bro. of James A. ALLISON. Since James A. ALLISON and bro. Elihu Creswell ALLISON had so many children, we are connected to many other Wmson Co. families--not to mention Milam Co., Bell Co. and others. (And the beat goes on...) Would be glad to share info with anyone. Does anyone recognize the following family. They are buried in the Allison Friendship Cemetery just east of Granger in Williamson Co. This listing comes from the Williamson County Web site. 3719 Young, Alfred A. Aug 29 1842 Jan 23 1902 3720 Young, David B. 1808 June 2 1889 age 81 yrs, 4 mos. 3721 Young, E. C. 1847? Mar 1 1908 could be C.E.; birth year may be 1837; wife of David D. 3722 Young, Margaret M. Jun 26 1861 Aug 21 1866 daughter of J. J. & Sarah M. I am trying to find out if this YOUNG family connects with the David Young whose parents are supposed to be A.A. Young and Nettie Hurt Young. (The A.A. could be the Albert A. but Nettie is not listed)> Thanks for any assistance. Jackie Morgan
