I was just trying to help someone, instead of asking for help for a change. This is all of the records Texas has put on the internet statewide. I was supprised they did it, but I'm not complaining. You can play around with the sites and find all kinds of information. Like all of a persons marriages and divorces. The births from 1926 till 1949 include alot of living people like me. You can put in counties and one surname, etc. Back to your question. No, I'm afraid they don't have birth information avalible before 1926 statewide. I have my grandmothers delayed birthcertificate from 1895. I got it at the county. I also recently got a marriage license for 1853 from another county. But it varies as to what information you can get in Texas from each co. Why don't you post what birth record you need. Someone might just jump right in there and have it. (We can always hope) Happy hunting Virginia Brown

Texas began keeping birth records in 1903, although many births did not get recorded in that 1903-1926 time periord. The Texas State Library does have the index to births (in book fomat) beginning with 1903, but not on-line. The published index gives only the child's name, date of birth, the county and the certificate number. Linda E.

    2. Help from Williamson Co., I am in search of the recording of the marriage of J.R. Sexton and M.M. Clark. They were listed on the 1860 census of Williamson Co. and living with the A.J. Berry family. I believe the J.E.'s name was James and that M.M.'s name was Mary. I also believe that they were married about 1859, hopefully in Williamson Co. Any help would be deeply appreciated. 3. I am trying to find out about W. W. Wilkey. He married Rosa Lee BRYAN in 1903 in Williamson Co., Texas. I have found nothing on him in Williamson Co. so am branching out to surrounding counties and since Milam Co. line isn't far from Taylor... Rosa Lee BRYAN was the daughter of Thomas H. BRYAN and they lived in Taylor. It is believed that since she was married to someone else in 1928 when she died that W. W. Wilkey had died before her and she had remarried. Can anyone help? Thanks. Enoch had a sister, Mary (Polly) Oxley who married a Stearns. I have information on the Oxley family back to the late 1600s. H. Martin Soward, III

    3. I have an amazing (to me) success to report. I have been stuck on my ggrandfather "Doll" Hamilton for years. My grandmother (his daughter) died very young and apparently continued contact with the Hamiltons was minimal, so there was little family tradition about the family, and any at all went to the grave years ago. Only a census from 1900 in Williamson Co, TX was available. I thought I had posted him several times, but maybe not, and I had so little to go on. I didn't know his full name or even where and when he died. Anyway, I posted it and a distant cousin contacted me. She, thanks Sue Stepp, had his name, wife's maiden name, city in AR where they were married, and much about both families. She is sending me more she says, and I can hardly wait So, even after years of frustration, it can be done. Now, I am anxious to find out which Hamilton clan he descends from, more about Moores and Hardins, etc. A whole new avenue of research is open. James Adolphus "Doll" Hamilton (1861 GA - ? TX) + Rhiney Jane Moore (Dec 22, 1871 Hot Springs Co, AR - ? TX) married in Hot Springs Co, AR about 1890 moved to Williamson Co, Tx about 1894 1) Nancy Jane Hamilton (Jan 1891 AR - 1940 TX) Horace Bishop Anderson (Feb 20, 1892 - Aug 10, 1974) (my grandparents in Williamson Co, TX) 2) Geride E. Hamilton (Oct 1892 AR - ?) 3) Herbert D. Hamilton (Oct 1894 TX - ?) stayed in Williamson County, TX Ruth Staton (1902 - 1987) 4) Myrtle Hamilton (Mar 1899 - ?) Brick walls can be knocked over. 3. My assumption is that Doll is a nickname, but I cannot imagine what it could be if shortened. (Rudolph, Adolph, ???) Has anyone run into this nickname elsewhere? My ggrandfather was known always as "Doll" Hamilton. The only information I have on him is from the Williamson Co, TX census of 1900 where he was listed as Dole Hamilton. Actually, I cannot be certain the actual spelling, but from family tradition I do know the pronunciation is like the last name "Dahl". He was born November 1859 in GA and lived for a time in AR because his wife Rena J. ? and he were married there, she was born there and his first two children were born in AR. About 1893 or 1894 he, wife, and youngest two moved to Williamson Co, TX where they remained for some time. I am not sure where or when Doll or Rena Hamilton died, but several children and descendants remained in Williamson Co, TX. Below is the family as I know it. Doll Hamilton (1859 GA - ?) Rena J. ? (1871 AR - ?) 1) Nancy Jane Hamilton (Jan 1891 AR - abt 1940 TX) Horace Bishop Anderson (Feb 1892 TX - 1974 TX) (Zetha Lee Anderson, Lillian Lucille Anderson (Beam) , Thomas Earl Anderson, Vina May Anderson (Belk), Amey Charlotte Anderson (Wills), James Hardy Anderson, Charles Bishop Anderson) 2) Geride E. I have am a descendant of Horace Bishop Anderson and Nancy Jane Hamilton and have contacts there, but would like to know more about others. Thanks Hurston Anderson
