Lewis was son of Fielding G Brown and his second wife L Adeline Cates. Adeline was also married before to Wm Diggs. Fielding was in Calhoun co ark 1860 St Landry Parish La 1870 and in Dallas Co ARk in 1880 (it is listed as Bowen but it is clearly the right family. Fieldind died in 1894 according to Adeline's widow pension application for Civil war vets. I have not found whrer either of them is buried yet. I am related to his first wife Lavinia Conlee. Fielding had children by both wives. I have some data on some of them but it has been hard to trace them with Brown surname. Joe Brady Dallas ,Tx
