    1. Re: Raymond H. Smith look-up in old Witchita Co. newspapers
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/RAC.2ACI/1604.1 Message Board Post: Jeanette, looking for a story on your Raymond in the old newspapers is like reading a novel. To go through that many months of papers would take days to do. You have to read each and every headline on every page of the paper. There is not a section back then for just obits and deaths could be on the first page or the last page or any where in between. It would be almost impossible for someone to sit at the microfilm reader and go through that many papers. I checked my city cemetery list just to be sure he isn't buried here. I found a couple of Raymonds but different middle initials and I did find an R.H. Smith but he died Dec. 1918. I wish we could help you more. Texas Death records begin in 1903 so if your Raymond died in TX he should be listed in those records. All of the records are on microfilm or maybe you can call the Wichita Co. Clerk and see if she can do a lookup for you. Julie
